- Definitions
- 1.1 “Company” refers to Multiclean Restore, its employees, subcontractors, and authorised representatives.
- 1.2 “Client” refers to any person, entity or representative engaging the Company for mould remediation or related services.
- 1.3 “Property” refers to the premises where mould treatment services are performed.
- 1.4 “Mould Treatment Services” refers to inspection, mould removal, cleaning, antimicrobial application, drying, restoration, or any related work carried out by the Company.
- 1.5 “Water Damage” includes leaks, flooding, moisture ingress, condensation, and humidity-related issues.
- Scope of Work
- 2.1 The Company will provide Mould Treatment Services as described in the written quotation , service agreement or verbal quote issued to the Client.
- 2.2 The scope may include visual inspection, moisture readings, sampling (if contracted), mould removal, containment setup, cleaning, drying, and/or application of antimicrobial products. The Client must make us aware of any allergies or disabilities that will affect the process.
- 2.3 Any additional works, including structural repairs, plumbing, electrical work, or building alterations, are not included unless expressly agreed in writing.
- Limitations of Mould Detection and Remediation
- 3.1 Mould growth can occur in concealed or inaccessible areas, including wall cavities, subfloors, insulation, behind fixtures, within HVAC systems, or other hidden locations.
- 3.2 The Company will perform reasonable inspection and treatment based on visible evidence and accessible areas; however:
- The Company cannot guarantee identification or removal of all mould within the Property.
- Mould may reappear if underlying moisture issues persist or new water damage occurs.
- 3.3 The Client acknowledges that no mould remediation company can guarantee a 100% mould-free environment, as mould spores are naturally present in indoor and outdoor air.
- 3.4 The Company’s responsibility is limited to treating areas identified within the agreed scope.
- Client Responsibilities
- 4.1 The Client must ensure safe, uninterrupted access to the Property during scheduled work times.
- 4.2 The Client must disclose any known water leaks, previous mould issues, or hazardous materials (e.g., asbestos).
- 4.3 The Client is responsible for:
- Arranging repair of the underlying water source,
- Removing personal items from affected rooms,
- Securing pets and children from work areas.
- 4.4 The Company is not liable for damage to items not removed or protected by the Client.
- Health & Safety
- 5.1 The Company will follow industry-standard safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment.
- 5.2 The Client agrees not to enter designated containment zones or interfere with equipment (e.g., dehumidifiers, air scrubbers).
- 5.3 If hazardous materials (including asbestos) are discovered, work will be halted until the material is professionally assessed and/or removed.
- Moisture Control and Prevention of Recurrence
- 6.1 Mould will return if moisture sources are not corrected.
- 6.2 The Client acknowledges responsibility for ongoing moisture control, including but not limited to:
- Fixing leaks,
- Improving ventilation,
- Controlling humidity levels,
- Maintaining property drainage.
- 6.3 The Company provides no warranty against future mould growth caused by unresolved or new moisture problems.
- 6.4 A property left empty for a prolonged time, particularly with no heating or ventilation can quickly become damp through condensation. This is also more evident in bungalows.
- Payment Terms
- 7.1 Prices are as stated in the quotation or invoices and are valid for 30 days from issuance.
- 7.2 Payment schedules are:
- A deposit of £500 prior to commencement is sometimes required,
- The balance upon completion or in 30 days as written on our invoice.
- 7.3 Additional work requested or required due to unforeseen conditions will incur extra charges.
- 7.4 Late payments may incur interest at the statutory rate allowable under UK law.
- Cancellation and Rescheduling
- 8.1 The Client cannot cancel once work commence contract is signed but cover all existing costs up to that point.
- 8.2 Cancellations within 48 hours of first contact will incur charges for lost labour time and materials.
- 8.3 The Company may reschedule due to safety concerns, dangerous conditions, or events outside its control.
- Liability and Limitations
- 9.1 The Company will perform services with reasonable skill and care.
- 9.2 The Company is not liable for:
- Pre-existing damage or contamination,
- Hidden mould not detected during inspection,
- Damage caused by further undescovered water leaks, structural defects, or Client negligence,
- Future mould growth after completion of contracted services.
- 9.3 To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, the Company’s total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service.
- Insurance
- 10.1 The Company maintains appropriate public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
- 10.2 Evidence of insurance can be provided upon request.
- Warranties
- 11.1 The Company provides no guarantee of complete eradication of mould due to its natural airborne presence and potential hidden growth.
- 11.2 Any product warranties (e.g., antimicrobial agents) are subject to manufacturer terms.
- Force Majeure
- The Company is not liable for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including extreme weather, supply shortages, illness, or equipment failure.
- Complaints Procedure
- 13.1 Complaints must be submitted in writing within 7 days of service completion.
- 13.2 The Company will investigate and, where appropriate, return to address the issue.
- 13.3 The Client must allow the Company a reasonable opportunity to remedy concerns before seeking third-party intervention.
- Data Protection
- 14.1 The Company will process Client data in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- 14.2 Client information will only be used for service delivery, administration, and legal compliance.
- Governing Law and Jurisdiction
- These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
- Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
- Acceptance of Terms
- By accepting a quotation, paying a deposit, signing a permission to commence form or allowing work to commence, the Client or a business representative confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
